So I've always been horrible with keeping journals and blogs updated with any sense of regularity. DA is no exception. A lot of crap has been happening lately that has greatly impacted both my health and ability to do much of anything creativity wise. The evening of Reno Pride, after a bunch of drama went down I ended up getting tackled by a friend while she had me in an arm bar, which resulted in my dominate wrist being in a splint for two weeks. The doc at the ER thought I fractured my wrist. Turns out I damaged the soft tissue and they had me on a pain killer and an NSAID. The anti-inflammatory ended up giving me a bleeding ulcer (it's a bad idea to take NSAID's on an empty stomach...ooops). So I was subjected to at least two weeks of a diet consisting of milk, yogurt and ice cream. Apparently the dairy serves to both coat your stomach and promote the production of mucus (which is what your stomach lining is primarily made of). I was a very grumpy Minx without my caffine let me tell you. Well even though the dairy did wonders for my stomach, once the weather changed to cold, my allergies struck with full vengence and because of the dairy, my mucus production was in overload which irritated my asthma. I ended up having a near fatal asthma attack that landed me in the back of an ambulance at about midnight. Apparently from what I've learned from a friend, I was unstable when I got there and they put me in the red side of the ER. I ended up getting a breathing treatment and a couple of new inhalers.

My lungs have pretty much gotten back to normal, but now I'm sick again. It's most likely an upper respiratory thing, but hopefully its not the pig flu. I am starting to get mildly inspired again though...probably from the fever dreams I've been having. Only time will tell if I actually get anything out of it...
